Many of you have asked me…

What wine will I take out of my cellar for my birthday?

2008 Leviathan Red Wine (St. Helena, Napa Valley Vintners)

This wine was #66 in the world – Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2011

This wine was everything delicious. Big, very big. Yet smooth and soft on the mouth. When I read just “Red Wine” on the label, it makes me wonder what grapes are in this bottle. And it does not say on the back label either. This is a very understated bottle with a spectacular wine inside. The wine’s extra smoothness made me feel it had a lot of Merlot. And of course the Cabernet Sauvignon bigness. I also tasted Cabernet Franc, which I love so much! When I got home I did my research… 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 17% Syrah and 7% Cabernet Franc. I just love figuring out what is inside a bottle. And I love even more experiencing amazing wines such as this Leviathan Wine.
