THE OLDEST WINERY IN FRANCE is finally up FOR SALE!

Chateau de Poulaine – A CASTLE – in the Loire Vally, France

For the first time in 1,000 years, this winery estate is for sale.

Although the winery was established in 1000 AD, the current castle was built over a 40 year span, from 1480 to 1520, with an additional wing built in 1630.

Built over the remains of an old medieval fortress that protected Brittany from France, underneath the château are all original vaulted cellars. Château de Pauline is situated on the Western edge of the Loire River, 10 miles from the city of Nantes, and an hour from the ocean.

The chateau includes vineyards, fields and wooded areas of great trees. Vineyards are on the northeast side of the Chateau, located within the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation. The estate includes a watchtower, water moats, museum, aviary, and apartments in addition to the massive castle. The pictures say it all.

If you like white wines and fresh fish, this will be your paradise wine region of France. No sales price of yet; however it is expected to sell between $10 to $12 million dollars.
