One of the FIRST WINERIES in Argentina, circa 1831 and still standing. This is the original Bodega Colome (winery), located in the upper Calchaqui Valley, Salta, Argentina, near the tiny village of Molinos. Vineyards here are planted at elevations ranging from 7,500′ to 10,206′ in this mountainous region of northwest Argentina.
